About: I teach new media journalism at the Medill School at Northwestern University. I've spent most of my career at the intersection of journalism and technology. Most recently, I won a grant for Medill from the Knight News Challenge to offer scholarships in our master's program to programmer/developers. The first two scholarship winners enrolled in January; we have 7 more scholarships to give out over the next two years. If you are a developer who might be interested, talk to me at the conference!
